Welschriesling is the most planted grape variety in Croatia. But Danube and Slavonia region draw full potential from this variety. Antunović Welschriesling is fresh, aromatic, harmonious and soft wine with a straw yellow color, green reflection and plenty of fruit flavors of green apple, with a floral bouquet. In the vineyards of Erdut, it develops high extracts and sugars, due to which it may bloom, in some years, into lovely high-quality wine. Its bitterness and minerality provide this wine with the distinctiveness of the Danube region. It goes well with a wide range of meat meals and fish and it is often drunk with a local specialty called fiš-paprikaš (fish stew).
