Kalazić vineyards are are located at Banska kosa (Ban’s hair), to the northeast of Baranja. On the Hungerian border near the mighty Danube, which significantly affects the microclimate. With sandy soil it creates ideal conditions for the production of healthy and good quality grapes, which is then the basis for obtaining high quality wines. The grapes were grown in this area since the ancient Roman time. They have called that area Mons Aureus, respectively meaning, Golden Hill. It is interesting that the name of Baranja in direct contact with the wine. Translated from the Hungarian this means wine mother.

This is absolutely a special wine. It is made only when the season is right with little rainfall and high temperatures. It is made of healthy berrys, dehydrated grapes that leave only about 1/3 of the grape juice. The wine is on the border between the semi-dry and semi-sweet with a high 15.6% alcohol level that does not interfere with the complex aromatic profile of wine. Among others, aromas of plum and ripe red and black berries can be distinguished. A wine for special occasions and special dishes.
