Gordia is an indigenous name for the area where Andrej Čep, the winemaker, has a restaurant with the same name. Andrej is the first generation winemaker but this does not prevent him to honor the traditional procedure. Gordia grow organic grapes and the wines are produced with skin contact and spontaneous fermentation on native yeasts without use of oenological products apart from sulphur.

Gordia Malvasia appears thick with significant tannin structure but also light, luscious and easy drinking. It is perfectly balanced dry Malvasia with lingering freshnesh and complex aromatics. Light amber color reveals notes of orange peel and some candied fruit as well but such elegant minerality is rarely achieved with Malvasia Istriana.
