Kalazić vineyards are are located at Banska kosa (Ban’s hair) to the northeast of Baranja, close to the Hungarian border near the mighty Danube, which significantly affects the microclimate. Sandy soil creates ideal conditions for the production of healthy and good quality grapes, which is the basis for obtaining high quality wines. The grapes were grown in this area since the ancient Roman time. They have called that area Mons Aureus, respectively meaning, Golden Hill. Etymology of name “Baranja” is also significant. Translated from the Hungarian it means – wine mother.

Its taste is remarkably rich, harmonious and persistent. Initially dominated by a strong flavour, this wine still preserves the vivacity and freshness that are later replaced by sweetness of extracts. A lingering aftertaste intertwines piquancy and attractive fruitiness on the finish.
