Our vineyards are located in the Kutjevo winegrowing region on the southern slopes of Krndija at 45.3° North. The elevation of the vineyards relative to the sea level ranges from 200 and 450 meters. As annual precipitation ranges between 500 and 800 mm of rainfall per square meter – the climate, terroir and weather conditions provide an excellent environment for winegrowing. Large forest circuits of Krndija and Geopark Papuk protect vineyards from sharp northern winds. The grapes for de Gotho Graševina are picked on a micro-location – Hrnjevac that reaches the southern exposure and the altitude up to 400 m. The type of soil is sandy sedimentary rocks, some clay, and carbonate loess. After harvesting grape press, molt flotation, the addition of selected yeasts and fermentation with temperature control to preserve the aromas.

The wine is a blend of Croatia’s most popular white wine grape variety and one of the most famous white grape variety in the world, chardonnay. Chardonnay aged in oak barrels made from Slavonian oak so the specific scents and aromas from Kutjevo terroir that we want to preserve in our premium lines make this wine altogether unique. This premium quality cuvée of Chardonnay and graševina is characterized by a yellow color with greenish glare, rounded aromas and discrete minerality specific for Kutjevo terroir. We recommend serving at 10-12 ° C with the finest seafood, fish, broth, veal roast.
