Although Milas Winery appeared relatively recently, the tradition of growing vines and producing wine and brandy in Milas family has been recorded for centuries, as in most Herzegovinians. On a land that geologists and oenologists consider ideal for growing traditional wine varieties of Herzegovina, Milas family grows Žilavka, Blatina and Merlot, all showing exceptional quality. Blatina as an autochthonous variety of Herzegovina is the pride of its region. Exceptional drinkability and a tendency to pair with local cuisine put her in an unavoidable place of Herzegovinian gastronomic experience. With its ruby red color and scents of dark fruit with mild notes of dried figs and carob, sweet spices, full of flavor invigorates and awakens the most beautiful feelings. Blatina Reserve is made from selected grapes and additionally aged in cellar in order to achieve ever smoother tannin structure and additional depth.
