Although Milas Winery appeared relatively recently, the tradition of growing vines and producing wine and brandy in Milas family has been recorded for centuries, as in most Herzegovinians. On a land that geologists and oenologists consider ideal for growing traditional wine varieties of Herzegovina, Milas family grows Žilavka, Blatina and Merlot, all showing exceptional quality. Their decision to neither emotionally nor physically they ever stray from the legacy of the ancestors proved well justified. Accolades came from both public and expert groups alike.
