Once upon a time, every household in Herzegovina had their own vineyard planted with Žilavka, Blatina, and other autochthonous varieties. Wars happened and the state borders changed, but the wine remained an important part of the Herzegovinian past, present, and future. This is how the story of Škegro family begins. A story where tradition has been passed from knee to knee to eventually become something that the whole family enjoys doing. Modern approach to traditional, love for vineyards and wine, and a strong desire to offer the spirit of Hercegovina in full glory. Plenty of sunshine, solid stone and healthy ecological footprint, together with the centuries-old tradition, gives top quality wines.

20 days of skin contact, wild fermented, unfiltered and with no added sulphites. First commercial orange wine of Herzegovina. There are plenty of heritage in making macerated white wines, but nothing quite as succesful as this. It slowly opens up in a glass, tight at first but soon cidery apple and pear notes prevail. Salivating acidity brighten through the palate. This orange Žilavka bursts with energy, but nothing feels rough or raw. Mouthfeel is clean and gentle, tannins softened as a proof of very skillful winemaking.
